On 9th December, the winners of Al Jazira and Auckland City FC face the champions of the AFC Asian Champions League final for the chance to face Real Madrid in their first match in the semi-final on 13th December.
Match day two on 9th December will see CONCACAF Champions Pachuca face the winner of the CAF Champions League for the opportunity to play the winners of the Copa Libertadores in the semi-final on 12th December.
Speaking at the draw, two-time FIFA Club World Cup Champion and Barcelona legend Éric Abidal, said: “I came here with Barcelona [in 2009] and it was an amazing tournament with very good opponents and I hope to be here again this year to see the games.
“It’s a big tournament and big opportunity for all the teams.
“Teams will have to be prepared and play like a team, attack together and defend together and be opportunists to beat Real Madrid, who have maybe the best players in the world.”
