An iconic European football team has launched its first training academy in Abu Dhabi.
Italian giant Juventus Football Club has officially opened a new football school to foster young talent in Khalifa City.
Located at the Abu Dhabi Cricket facility, The Juventus Academy’s sessions will run weekly for children aged between four and 17 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The academy, which also runs in Dubai, will feature comprehensive coaching programmes run by Italian, Juventus-approved coaches and will host a number of tournaments and leagues for young players throughout the year.
Open to children who are still learning the basics of the game as well as more advanced players, the coaching programme used at the academy has been created by some of Europe’s top football coaches to help develop young talent to achieve their potential.
Managed by J Sports LLC, the new academy is a joint venture between Abu
Dhabi’s Al Masaood Group and FFG Sports Management LLC.
“We are honoured to represent one of the biggest football clubs in the world,” said Ahmed Al Masaood, vice chairman of Al Masaood Group. “Juventus was founded in 1897 and it is the only sports team in the world to be owned by the same family (Agnelli) for 94 years. It is a great step to further strengthen the relationship between UAE and Italian culture and is sure to be highly valued by the Abu Dhabi community.”
