Thursday 1st March

Open to families who want to try something different as well as sports fans, this returning festival runs all weekend, so why not check it out? Free entry. Head to NYUAD and experience the final day of the Barzakh Festival where genre-breaking artists come together to perform for crowds. Friday 2nd March

Truckers Beats sees the best food trucks from all over the UAE descend on the city to serve up some amazing food while a talent show takes over the stage to bring local talent to the fore. Ten bands will go head to head to win a grand prize and provide the soundtrack to your day. Plus, with free activities for kids giving mum and dad a rest, it’s a great family day out. If seeing the world’s best triathletes sounds like something you’d be interested in this weekend then you’re in luck. The ITU World Triathlon Series is making its season debut in the capital and there’s some serious star power this year as Olympians the Brownlee Brothers aim to take medals home. With community heats, the best international female athletes and a new para-triathlon category, why not head along, check it out and give some support to the participants? Free. With kite-making workshops for the family, awards for most creative kite, largest kite and best animal shaped kite, music from a DJ, as well as games and activities, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained. YOGAThe annual Yoga Market is back, bringing with it a full day of all things yoga including ashtanga, Vinyasa flow, yin yoga and meditation, as well as an organic farmer’s market with food from Ripe, a yoga market selling all the gear and loads more. Never seen it? Well, it’s a love story between two people from opposite sides of town, from opposing gangs, the Jets and Sharks. Can their love endure the conflict of interests?
