You could be part of the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson as the event returns to Abu Dhabi on 21st July.
For the fifth year, Yas Waterworld is hosting the event in a bid to raise awareness about the importance of learning to swim to prevent drowning.
The Abu Dhabi lesson is just one of hundreds hosted across the world on the same day, with thousands of children and adults expected to take part each year, and an overall aim of reaching one billion participants globally.
“The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is an important event and we are honoured to be a part of this global initiative,” said Yas Waterworld’s general manager, Bianca Sammut. “At Yas Waterworld, we recognise the role that aquatic education plays in ensuring guests’ safety.”
The swimming lesson will take over Amwaj Wave Pool at the park between noon and 12.30pm this Thursday. Registration takes place the same morning between 10am and 11.50am over at the Qaryat Al Jewana Souk area of the waterpark.
Registration is required but open to everyone, even those with no prior swimming experience.
