This is the last place you’d expect to find a vegan dish.  But the V8 vegan burger, a plant-based burger made from pumpkin, carrot, chickpea and ginger bites, melted vegan provolone, miso pea mash (contains pine nuts), raw grated beetroot with chia seeds, salad and house vegan aioli, proves otherwise.

Go back to the roots with 100 percent plant-based dishes like tofu benedict, kale and wild- mushroom wrap and crispy tofu quinoa noodles, among others. Don’t miss the outlet’s Roots & Shoots Night for AED 149 (Holistic Wellness package) per person every Thursday, from 6pm to 10pm, when a buffet filled with vegan specialties is at your fingertips. AED 89 for buffet with soft beverages.

The V for Vegan theme nights has more than forty plant-based dishes, including sweet miso eggplant, steamed silken tofu broccolino, vegan biryani, sushi and gluten-free pasta. Desserts include coconut mango sago, roasted pecan nut brownie and soya milk cherry mousse. Every Sunday evening from 7pm to 10.30pm for AED 180.

Wheatfields Gourmet Grocer & Café

Wraps, sandwiches, salads, burgers and pizza – there’s so much to choose from (and taste). Vegan-atics (Yep! We made that word up!) can choose from quesadillas with house-made vegan cheese, acai bowls, vegan burgers, salads and desserts. Check out the pastry shop stacked with healthy baked goodies to take home.

Afghani bites with a touch of sunny California – what’s not to like? Try the egg-less cauliflower rice dish with avocado and chickpeas, oatmeal and Nolu’s foul (pronounced fool). There are also options for vegetarian and gluten-free eaters, so take note.
