In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, Instagram has introduced a new campaign and camera filter.
#MonthOfGood, is the social media platform’s first ever Ramadan campaign and aims to encourage the global community to share kindness on its platform. To participate, acts of kindness such as volunteering in the local community or charitable giving should be shared using the hashtag.
To coincide with the campaign, Instagram also launched Lantern, its first Ramadan camera effect to help Instagram users share their Ramadan celebrations and acts of kindness in a fun way.
Last year in the UAE, posts containing the words ‘donate’ or ‘donation’ increased 97 percent during Ramadan, and Instagram encourages users to build on this
