This is what gets forgotten in cars in the capital

Abu Dhabi has been named as the second most forgetful city when it comes to leaving items behind in an Uber.

The on-demand transport service has released its recent Lost and Found Index and named the UAE capital as the second most forgetful destination after Qassim, Saudi Arabia.

According to the survey, most items are left behind at the end of the week on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 5pm and 7pm.

In addition, people are most likely to forget clothes on Sundays, keys on Mondays, phones and cameras on Tuesdays and Fridays, wallets and purses on Wednesdays and Thursdays and luggage on Saturdays.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, 1st January 2019 was the day where most items were left behind in cars in a single day in the UAE.

Overall, the ten most commonly forgotten items for MENA were phones and cameras, clothes, wallets and purses, keys, glasses, headphones and speakers, water bottles, phone chargers and jewellery.

If you ever leave something behind in your Uber, the company recommends contacting the driver directly before going to the app and selecting the ‘I Forgot an Item’ option.
