Backyard Poetry 3.7 is hosting an open mic poetry reading with an evening of spoken word performances to wow and inspire you. Unleash your artistic side and create your own version of the famous ‘Lily Lights’. Create your own interpretation in paint and see how you can reproduce the classic and put your own spin on it. Will you stick to the established creation or make it your own entirely? All the required painting supplies will be provided: brushes, paint, easel, apron and even art instructions. He’s back. Everyone’s favourite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, has returned to seven seas and the silver screen for what could be the final instalment of the successful Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. This time around Captain Jack is pursued by an old enemy who’s intent on bringing all living pirates to justice, but with help from new friends and some returning ones (including Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley), can Jack escape another great and dangerous threat? Bend over backwards
Feeling a little sore and need to stretch your body out? Wake up and start the weekend with some early morning yoga to improve your flexibility and stimulate your nervous system. This pop-up yoga workshop with Didier will focus on your back and how to bend in a way that improves your posture and sense of wellbeing at the same time. At this workshop Muazzam Abdul Rehamn, an experienced sales and marketing manager, will help you to free yourself and find understanding of how giving to others can give you a sense of purpose and wellbeing. Conquer the kitchen
What better way to learn gourmet cooking than to attend a masterclass with Chef Jones the Grocer himself? In this session, you will learn how to make a mouthwatering pearl barley risotto with chicken chorizo, butternut pumpkin and basil oil. Class members will have specific cooking instructions from the head chef to make this delicious dish.
