Are you toll-gate ready? The new tariff system rolls out on 15th October, according to Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT).
You should have registered your motor by now, but if you haven’t then don’t delay or you’ll be face a hefty fine.
Fines have a sting in their tail, rising to a whopping AED 10,000. Ouch!

It’s going to cost a big fat zero for Abu Dhabi cars, but it’s a different story if your motor is from outside the emirate. If that sounds like you, then expect to fork out AED 100.
Talking about money, toll charges are AED 4 during peak hours – 7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm – and AED 2 at other times, including Fridays and holidays.
It doesn’t matter how many times you pass them, you’ll never pay more than AED 16 a day.
News of toll gates coming to the capital’s main bridges was announced in July 2019.
