That’s right, it’s everyone’s favourite time of the week and it looks like it’s going to be fun. 

Take your pick from a food festival, cultural events, art exhibitions and K-Pop parties to make your weekend a little more exciting before returning to work on Sunday.

Thursday 8th November 

It’s back! The capital’s favourite al fresco food festival Taste of Abu Dhabi returns to Yas Island this weekend for three days of food, live entertainment and fun. Plus, the Abu Dhabi World team will be there all weekend to help you vote in the Pride of Abu Dhabi Awards, so why not join us? Friday 9th November

Get your dancing shoes on for One Music X Abu Dhabi a one-day music festival packed with performances from Filipino artists including KZ Tandingan, Inigo Pascual, Maris, Moira, Aegis and more. From AED 135. Mubadala Arena, Zayed Sports City, Saif Ghubash Street. 2pm-midnight. Visit: 

Join Louvre Abu Dhabi’s first birthday celebrations all weekend with the pop-up architecture weekend, the opening of the new Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia exhibition, live spoken word performances and more. Take a trip to the Garden City to check out the returning My Heritage, My Responsibility event that features al ayala and al razfa dance performances, infantry shows from Abu Dhabi Police, educational workshops about traditional Emirati games, heritage competitions, a market, a photographic display by The Emirates Heritage Club’s Sheikh Zayed Centre for Studies and Research and more. Saturday 10th  November 

Let the kids enjoy a unique play experience with Tangle by Polyglot Theatre. Children aged between two and 12 are invited to get creative and weave a ball of colourful elastic around poles in a large play space to make a fun, multi-coloured landscape of intertwining colours and shapes. Enjoy an afternoon of creativity with Expression Sessions by the Blank Canvas Community where participants will undertake a collaborative painting and paper quilling exercise under the theme of the Year of Zayed, in recognition of the founding father of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. AED 170.
