Shutterbugs with a keen eye for natural beauty have the opportunity to show off their camera skills with an upcoming photography competition.
Launched as part of the annual Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), running from 25th to 29th September, the competition is open to hobbyist and proficient photographers alike, with three categories on offer, all of which aim to showcase Abu Dhabi’s unique traits.
Photographers can submit their best shots of either local wildlife, culture and heritage or Abu Dhabi landscapes.
Winners will receive prizes from Nikon, in addition to seeing their winning snaps exhibited in ADIHEX’s art gallery section at this year’s event.
“Facilitating the photography competition this year, we are very excited to see how artists can infuse their techniques into the rich landscape, cultural heritage and the exhibition itself without stepping away from the ideals of ADIHEX,” noted HE Khalid Sedeeq Al Muttawaa, chairman of Etihad Modern Art Gallery.
“No matter how technology and innovation play major roles in our country, falcons, horses, houbara, all are still part of our national identity as Emiratis. We must continue to preserve and enrich our culture and pass it on to the next generations.”
