Horse riders across the country are being sought to take the reins in support of breast cancer awareness with an upcoming charity event.
Founded in 2011, Pink Caravan Ride is an annual equestrian campaign that travels through all seven emirates on horseback to provide free breast cancer screenings and highlight the importance of self-examination to men and women.
With the next ride set to take place from 23rd February to 1st March next year, the philanthropic initiative is now appealing to proficient riders over the age of 16 to join the seven-day trek.
Commenting on the initiative, Pink Caravan Ride manager Badr Al Juaidi said: “The more volunteers that sign up for our cause, the more impactful and far-reaching our message of protecting ourselves from cancer will be.
“We call on the equestrian community in the UAE to channel their passion for supporting cancer patients into strengthening breast cancer prevention and treatment advocacy by helping us educate our sisters and brothers around the country on the importance of early detection.”
