Abu Dhabi will host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for the next five years.
This means kids get to meet their favourite characters from giant TV channel up close at the World of Nickelodeon – set to be an annual event – from 19th to 21st September at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
It’s part of a five-year deal between Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) to bring the event to the capital.
The first regional version of the popular awards will see young fans here to voting for their favourite international and MENA artists from TV, movies and music.
Winners will be announced at a night filled with entertainment and, of course, KCA’s signature green slime.
“Producing the Kids’ Choice Awards in Abu Dhabi will create a new entertainment experience of kids in the Middle East and raise the international visibility of Abu Dhabi even further,” said Raffaele Annecchino, president of Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa for VIMN.
Nickelodeon’s kids’ channel is home to family favourites Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Spongebob Squarepants.
More information for both events will be announced soon, including details on tickets.
