Louvre Abu Dhabi is to open a revamped restaurant in 2020.
French hospitality company Barrière Group is turning the art museum’s restaurant into a branch of Fouquet’s.
Known for its links to the world of art and culture, Fouquet’s already has branches in Paris, Cannes and Toulouse in France and Marrakech in Morocco.
Michelin star chef Pierre Gagnaire, head chef and owner of the renowned Pierre Gagnaire restaurant, will create a menu reflecting local tastes and including a number of Fouquet’s signature dishes.
Bespoke furniture pieces designed by French architect Jean Nouvel will be among features in the brasserie-style eatery, which will draw inspiration from the museum’s elegant and artistic atmosphere.
