A new campaign recognising society’s everyday heroes has been launched in the UAE.
The Panadol Extra Toughies campaign wants to identify and celebrate individuals who ‘create meaningful moments of selflessness despite tremendous, multi-pain barriers’.
Running until 24th October, you can nominate someone who goes out of their way to help others by going to toughies.panadol.me
A shortlist of nominees will be announced after the campaign ends and their stories will be shared on social media to inspire others and share their cause with the community.
Kannan Sivasankaran, general manager of GSK Consumer Healthcare for the Gulf & Near East, said: “In every community, there are people who refuse to let pain get in the way of living their life to the fullest.
“These individuals have largely contributed to their own communities, and to greater society without trepidation or doubt — all while, overcoming tremendous pain obstacles and other physical barriers.
“These are people of toughness, and through this campaign, we wish to recognise and celebrate them.”
Epitomising the spirit of the campaign is Emirati Jalal Bin Theneya, a campaigner for people of determination.
Jalal has trekked through seven emirates among other difficult feats all to raise funds for a host of charitable organisations here in the UAE.
If you know a community hero like Jalal then nominate them by visiting: toughies.panadol.me
