An exhibition highlighting the works of renowned Dutch painters will be on display at Louvre Abu Dhabi from 14th February.

Rembrandt, Vermeer and the Dutch Golden Age: Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection and the Musée du Louvre will display artworks by Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer and their peers.

The artworks will provide visitors an insight into the artistic period when the Dutch Republic was leading the way in the fields of trade, science and the arts.

The paintings themselves depict scenes of daily life along with portraits that showcase the artists’ fresh ingenuity, creativity and experimentation in expression and colours.

The exhibit will carry 95 works including paintings, drawings and objects, and is divided into six sections.
