It doesn’t have to be hot outside for you to enjoy a frozen treat. Here are five of our favourite ice cream spots in Abu Dhabi to satisfy your cravings.

Dolce Café

Dolce is a picture-perfect ice cream shop complete with red leather-top stools and towering displays of toppings. From classic ice cream to fancier versions and concoctions made especially for children, there’s something on the menu for everyone. When a simple scoop won’t do, try Dolce’s signature spaghetti ice cream dish. Handmade vanilla ice cream is pressed through a potato ricer to make it look like noodles while strawberry sauce and almond biscuit crumbs mimic a Bolognese sauce. Vasa Vasa

By keeping things pure and simple, Vasa Vasa serves up traditional Italian gelato and sorbet that is both healthy and flavourful. Enjoy creamy, moreish scoops of this traditionally crafted treat that’s made with natural ingredients – that means no colouring, preservatives or artificial flavours. FrostBite Ice Cream

FrostBite Ice Cream claims to have the freshest ice cream in town made using a proprietary flash freezing technique. Consequently, each batch is made to order and frozen on the spot. This homemade, all natural ice cream starts with the basics but turns it up a notch on flavour. Funky concoctions made with ingredients such as Ferrero Rocher and even Magic Pops candy take up residence on the menu. Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street, near Guardian Towers. Daily noon-1am. M’OISHÎ

M’OISHÎ serves up perfectly shaped domes of mochi in a plethora of exotic flavours and colours. This Japanese dessert is a double dose of goodness with scoops of ice cream wrapped in a gummy dough made of rice flour, sugar, corn powder and warm water. Vanilla & Pepper

For Italian artisanal ice cream served with an air of sophistication, pop by Vanilla & Pepper. Fresh, creamy scoops of gelato are made in a soft ice cream machine to create a smooth texture.
