Sync your heart out!
Got a song in you? The Lip Sync Battle returns to Marriott Al Forsan this weekend. Encouraging you to get up on stage and mouth the words – and maybe even a dance move or two – to your favourite hits, it’s like karaoke where you can’t go wrong. With tracks being spun by DJ Adriana Ray, it’s a fun and lively night out, and why not dress to impress? After all, you’ve got to look good while singing along to your big hit. In an evening of magic and mystery, that’s definitely not for muggle, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first in JK Rowling’s beloved series, will be shown on a huge 40-foot screen. To make things even better, John Williams’ magical score (pardon the pun) will be performed live by the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra for a concert version of the screening. The film, along with its iconic score, will be shown on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night so you have several opportunities to grab that Gryffindor scarf and head to Yas Island. Hit the beach
If you want to celebrate the long weekend down by the beach, then head down to Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE for a solid 12-hour party, where you can kick back, relax and enjoy food, drinks and sunshine until the small hours. When the sun goes down, the venue’s resident DJs will be joined by top international techno and synth DJs Butch and Lee Curtiss, who will be dropping track after track to keep the party going until the early morning. On Saturday evening, Frankie’s Italian Restaurant and Bar at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr will be hosting its Dine and Laugh show, which promises to deliver some of the best stand-up in Abu Dhabi, alongside authentic Italian food. Hosted by Tai the Comedybawse, this week’s event will see four local comics take to the stage for your dining entertainment.
