Where are the happiest places in the capital?

A new report has revealed the areas in Abu Dhabi that are home to the happiest residents in the capital.

Online platform ServiceMarket surveyed 1,700 residents, asking them to rate areas in the city across 19 different attributes including a sense of community, facilities, child-friendliness and the availability of public transport.

Topping the list was Al Raha Beach with an overall rating of 4.12 out of five, placing ahead of Saadiyat Island with 4.05 and Al Reef with 3.96.

Al Raha Beach has jumped into the top slot despite not featuring in the top five last year. Meanwhile top-rated destinations in 2017, including Al Bateen and Al Khalidiya, have dropped out of the top five this year.

Al Zahiyah ranked bottom of the survey with low rankings thanks to noise levels and a lack of parking facilities, among other factors.
