Stay connected on the move as Wi-Fi is rolled out across buses in Abu Dhabi.
Three routes around the city have been kitted out with 5G technology, along with the main bus station and an air-conditioned bus stop. Cool.
Riders on Route 43, which connects from the Corniche Hospital to Al Mushrif Mall; Route 41 to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and Route A1 to Abu Dhabi International Airport are the first to get online.
By early 2020, all 520 buses, main stations and every air-conditioned bus shelter will be hooked up to Emirates Wi-Fi.
The commuter connection is a project between the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and du.
Mohammed Hamad Al Muhairi, executive Director of Public Transport at the ITC, said: ” The introduction of Wi-fi on public transport buses helps to make them a popular means of transport by providing sophisticated and modern facilities.”
All bus passengers need to do is choose Emirates Wi-Fi by du, after which they’ll be sent a text message with a log-in code.
Air passengers, did you know that Abu Dhabi International Airport is home to one of the world’s fastest airport Wi-Fi services?
Free Super-Fi was introduced across the airport’s terminals in January.
