Exciting line-up revealed for this cultural festival

The programme for the new season of Abu Dhabi Classics has been announced.

Renaud Capucon Ph Paolo Roversi 1Hosted annually by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT), the classical music festival will begin on 12th October at Emirates Palace.

Opening the eighth season is the Camerata Salzburg Orchestra, featuring celebrated violist Renaud Capuçon, who will perform a Mozart Violin Concerto.

Xavier de Maistre_Official PR Shot_09_Notte Veneziana_2012_O¦ée¦éA¦è Felix BroedeAlso scheduled to take to the stage, French harpist Xavier de Maistre will perform at Manarat Al Saadiyat on 6th November before making his way to the Garden City to play at Bin Hamoodah Fort in Al Ain on 7th November.

Dr Ronald Perlwitz, head of music in the Arts Department of DCT, said: “Abu Dhabi Classics has become a highlight in the emirate’s cultural calendar, playing host to an incredible line-up of internationally acclaimed classical musicians and artistic performances.

“The eighth season will offer residents and visitors a unique opportunity to experience and enjoy the magical world of classical music and we look forward to welcoming audiences for the eighth season.”
