Take the first step

If you want to start the weekend with a workout then this could be the perfect place to start. At TrainZSC you can push yourself and improve your health by taking on vertical training, going up and down the stairs of the stadium. Want to stay on flat ground? Get along to a great gig

Have you got the X factor? This man does and he’s heading to the capital to thrill fans with his hit songs. Olly Murs shot to fame after appearing on the UK version of the X Factor and has continued to show he has the right stuff in the charts since exiting the limelight of TV. Head to Yas Island to hear hits like ‘Troublemaker’, ‘You Don’t Know Love’, ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ and ‘Dear Darlin’ and brush up on your lyrics for a sing-a-long. Want to learn more about the singer? Indulge in some retail therapy

Need to get some new threads or just have a passion for fashion? It’s heating up in the capital so make the most of the popular Ripe outdoor market before it takes cover from the sun in the summer. Shop for some foodie treats, organic fruit and veg boxes or shop the artisan craft stalls in the leafy surrounds of Umm Al Emarat Park. With food trucks and a relaxed atmosphere it’s a great place to escape with the family for an afternoon of fun. Free, AED 5 for entry in to the park. Make a splash

Feeling the heat? Well, so is man’s best friend and you can both cool off this weekend. Bring your pooch along to the doggy pool party and kick back as your four-legged friends make waves in the pool. Take a trip to Oz

Follow Dorothy (Judy Garland) on a magical adventure where she meets a scarecrow, tin man and a cowardly lion along the yellow brick road who help her to stay safe from the reach of the wicked witch of the West.
