Members of the community are being trained for emergency medical situations thanks to a roadshow by a local hospital.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will be setting up booths across malls and public areas as part of a health campaign to educate people about what to do in an emergency situation.
Running from 12th July until the end of the year, the awareness campaign includes CPR training on manikins with hands-on demonstrations to teach people how to conduct chest compressions while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
“Rapid response is important in emergency situations, whether it is a stroke, an accident or a heart issue,” explained Dr Jacques Kobersy, chair of the Emergency Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. “People should take immediate action and seek medical attention as soon as possible.”
The first pop-up training will take place on 12th July at Abu Dhabi Mall. To find out more, contact: 800 82223, clevelandclinicabudhabi.ae
