It is onwards and upwards for Abu Dhabi’s culture sector as the fourth edition of Culture Summit Abu Dhabi is heading to Manarat Al Saadiyat from 5th to 9th April 2020.
Under the theme ‘The Cultural Economy and the Economy of Culture’, cultural leaders, practitioners and experts from the fields of art, heritage, museums, media and technology will discuss important issues that are affecting the sector.
These include securing financial support for cultural and artistic initiatives, developing sustainable economic programmes and utilising digitisation and technology to further develop the creative industry.
It’s not all talk though, as there will be art, dance, the spoken word and diverse creative presentations too.
Saif Saeed Ghobash, undersecretary of Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said: “As Abu Dhabi continues to diversify its economy, we have been focusing on culture as a major driver of growth.
“While certainly a global issue, the outcomes of this year’s summit will be of particular relevance to us locally, as we come together to discuss the impact of innovation on the economies of cultural output.”
