Inclusion through art is at the heart of a new creative festival launching at a Saadiyat Island resort throughout the summer.
Launched by community group Goals UAE, E11 Art is an immersive creative experience that is set to bring exhibitions, hands-on workshops and more to the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi from 25th June.
Working with local artists including Azza Al Qubaisi and Afra Atiq as well as artists with disabilities, the festival’s centrepiece will be Identities, a collaborative art piece created using pieces of date palm.
In addition, children and adults will have the chance to get involved with a series of workshops that include photography, poetry readings and mixed media art sessions.
Commenting on the upcoming festival, Khawla Barley, founder of Goals UAE and the E11 Art initiative, highlighted the need for diversity in creativity: “A diverse and inclusive art community provides dimension and vibrancy.
“Over the course of the summer, E11 and our partner artist will bring a sense of exploration and wonder to the beautiful Saadiyat Island through workshops, discussions, engagements and the sharing of unique artworks created on site at Park Hyatt.”
