Ukrainian master painter to show and tell in Abu Dhabi

Ukrainian artist Petro Bevza, whose pieces have been exhibited in the US, Canada, Sweden, Russia, Poland and elsewhere, will make his Middle East debut this month at N2N Gallery in Nation Galleria.

Petro’s exhibition ‘The Play Goes On’ comprises 20 artworks that use a combination of oil and acrylic paint, mineral pigments and textured objects such as sand or woodchips to create multi-layered, colourful and dream-like landscapes.

The exhibition opens on 22nd April at 7pm, and will be on display until 20th May.

All pieces are for sale, starting from AED 13,000.

Petro will also conduct a master class from 24th to 29th April, where he will teach budding painters about his technical and creative processes. The class costs AED 1,950 for six days and includes the mineral pigments. Tools and supplies can be purchased independently or from the gallery for an extra AED 1,150.

You can choose the morning sessions – held from 10am to 1pm at N2N Gallery in Nation Towers, Corniche West – or the evening sessions – hosted from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at the newly opened N2N Gallery in Al Ain Tower, Al Khalidiya.

The new gallery space in Al Ain Tower houses artworks by other Ukrainian painters as well as an antique printing press that is suitable for decorative prints on fabrics and garments – which is thought to be the only one of its kind in the city. Visitors interested in creating their own prints are invited to drop by at the new gallery.
