Friday 2nd February
Hosted as part of Abu Dhabi Festival 2018, the From Barcelona to Abu Dhabi exhibition will showcase works from the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art’s collection, in dialogue with pieces from Emirati artists. The Red Bull Air Race begins its 2018 season in Abu Dhabi this weekend with 14 pilots looking to get a good start. Qualifying will take place on Friday and the big race on Saturday along the Corniche near the breakwater, where you can see the pilots in action. Free. Giving you a new appreciation for the work of Vincent Van Gogh, the Van Gogh Alive exhibition is like nothing you’ve seen before. The interactive experience, which includes video and audio, showcases the work of one of the world’s most famous artists by projecting his works on to the walls and floor of the National Theatre. Saturday 3rd February
“A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down…”. Sorry, but Mary Poppins is full of great songs. Showing the 1964 Disney classic on the big screen, CinemaSpace welcomes families to enjoy the fanciful tale starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke this weekend. Free, but prior registration needed.
