A key women’s sporting event has added two new speakers to its line-up.
Special Olympics competitor Loretta Claiborne and Beirut Marathon Association founder May El-Khalil are the latest personalities to join the International Conference of Sports for Women (ICSW), taking place from 6th to 7th November this year.
Returning for its fourth edition, this year’s conference centres around inspiring the next generation of sportswomen, with a line-up that also includes ‘Iron Nun’ Madonna Buder and Saudi mountaineer Raha Moharrak.
Joining the event with a special session about disability in sport, Loretta Claiborne will share her journey to athletic success with an intellectual disability, while May El-Khalil, who overcame a debilitating accident to rise through turbulent societal circumstances in Lebanon to create the inspirational marathon, will be taking part in a panel discussion titled ‘Behavioral Change: Sports as the Norm’.
ICSW will be taking place at Adnec. For more information, click here.
