Why Al Ain Book Fair is extra special this year

Book enthusiasts are set to gather in the Garden City to mark the tenth edition of an annual cultural event.

Al Ain Book FairTaking place from 23rd September to 2nd October at Al Ain Convention Centre, Al Ain Book Fair will celebrate a decade of promoting the written word to all segments of the community.

With a wide selection of books on sale, bibliophiles will also enjoy various events including talks featuring authors and poets, performances by Emirati musicians and poetry evenings.

171123-boekFamily-friendly programmes are also on the agenda including activities from the popular television show Iftah Ya Simsim.

Saif Saeed Ghobash, undersecretary at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said: “The fair is an extension of Abu Dhabi’s endeavours to promote the emirate’s status as a hub for cultural activity and open dialogue.
