Airbnb will now be available in Arabic to accommodate its growing community across the Middle East and North Africa.
The company announced that more than 70,000 listings will be accessible in Arabic via its local website, iOS and Android apps. From 1st January this year, there were more than 10,000 listings on the UAE’s Airbnb platform and hosts in the country welcomed over 145,000 guests from around the world – up on 63 percent from 2018.
In 2017, Airbnb also launched Experiences, where travellers can enjoy Arab hospitality first-hand on tours and activities, led by passionate locals. Across the MENA region, there are currently more than 750 exciting Experiences to try, with 120 in the UAE.
Last year Airbnb partnered with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi to promote Emirati Experiences, which allows guests from around the world to live like a local.
