Chef Thuy Pham, co-founder of The Little Viet Kitchen, is bringing her distinctive Vietnamese dishes – and her mum – to the capital for a three-day pop-up event from 26th to 28th September.

The mother-daughter duo will prepare a special menu, blending authentic Vietnamese cooking with western flavours. Thuy’s London based eatery is an award-winning staple among foodies in Islington.

Weekend warriors

Are you a culture vulture? Then enjoy a weekend of free activities for the whole family at Louvre Abu Dhabi from 26th to 28th September.

Take a mini interactive tour of the Children’s Museum: A Costume Adventure.  Take part in a drop-in puppet-making workshop or watch a puppet show in the Children’s Museum Library. If you’re feeling really adventurous, sign up for the ‘activity of the month’ and see where the day takes you.

Friday, 27th September

Art with a heart

n2n gallery

N2N Gallery is giving you the chance to get your hands on new art pieces while supporting local talent and making a wish come true.  Art A Wish, in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, is a charity exhibition featuring more than 20 paintings by nine different artists. Proceeds from the exhibit will go towards helping the wishes of children with critical illnesses come true. The exhibit is open from 27th September to 10th October.

Feel the rhythm

Rooftop Rhythms is on this weekend giving local poets and musicians a platform to showcase their talents. If you’ve got original poems or songs or, if you just want to support artistry in the community, come out to the capital’s best open mic night. Enjoy the ambiance and the smooth sounds of DJ A.L.L.A.D throughout the evening. Complimentary tickets are available for reservation and a limited number of standby tickets are available at the door. Act fast, because this event is known to sell out.

Laugh out loud

comedy night

Get ready for gut busting fun with ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’ brought to you by The Noise Next Door, the UK’s premier improve comedy troupe. Settle in as this line-up of sell-out comedians slay you with their witty humour and acting.

Head to the sea

Fancy swimming like a dolphin and soaring like an eagle? Then flyboarding might be just your thing. these jet-controlled boards will send you across the water and then up to 15m in the air. It’s going to take some practice but once you get the hang of it.

Saturday, 28th September

Spruce up your home

Head over to Yas Mall for the third edition of the annual Home Fashion event. A bevy of home décor workshops by interior experts will give you all the inspiration you need for the latest look for  your home.
