Abu Dhabi… get up and get out this weekend!

Heading back into the weekend after one day at work be like…

Here’s what Abu Dhabi’s got going on this wonderful weekend without round-up of the best options.

Celestial calm

Closeout the week by tapping into the energy of the full moon. Inner Seed invites you to relax and harness the power of the lunar orb in a self-healing workshop. This ladies-only event consists of yoga, talks, meditation, breathing and cleansing exercises.

Float with friends

Cool off with a kayak around the beautiful Louvre Abu Dhabi under the night sky. Take in the starlit sky, illuminated dome roof and glistening water as you paddle into the weekend. If you’re too wiped to make it on Thursday night, there’s a session available on Friday too.

Last chance…

Visit the Year of Tolerance Exhibit at The Galleria where 30 images of Sheikh Zayed are on display. Witness a pictorial display of key moments in the development of the UAE but you need to hurry. Thursday, 15thAugust is the last day of this free exhibition.

Pick up the pace

It’s national rollercoaster day at Ferrari World and adrenaline junkies can get their fix on Formula Rossa. This experience takes you more than 50m off the ground where you can enjoy views of Yas Island at lightning speed. To mark the occasion, you can also take away a special podium backdrop photograph, complimentary cookies and a finisher’s certificate. If that’s not enough to get you racing down to Yas, you can purchase four tickets for the price of one!

AED 295 for adults, AED 230 for juniors. 10am-10pm. Visit: ferrariworldabudhabi.com

Steak your claim

Are you part of the brunch bunch? If it’s not a weekend unless you’ve had your fill of food and drink then head on over to The Foundry and pick your package. Enjoy succulent prime cuts of steak with soft beverages for AED 199 or with house beverages for AED 375 and kids aged six to 12 can brunch out for just AED 99.

Get carried away

If you’re in the mood for a classic this weekend, settle in for a screening of Gone with the Wind. This new restoration is sure to give the original movie, which was filmed in 1939, a fresh feel. The film is rated for general audiences (all ages admitted) but plan carefully as the movie is 238 minutes long, which might be a stretch for even the most dedicated mini-movie buff.

Grab your gal tribe

It’s ladies night at Heroes and here’s the deal. You and your besties can enjoy three free drinks on the house while rocking to the beats of The International Playboys so put on your dancing shoes, get ready and get on down! Crown Plaza Abu Dhabi, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street.
