A recent global survey proves what all of us already knew – that Abu Dhabi is a great city to live in. Simple as that!
it’s no surprise to us living here in the capital that the capital ranked 15th among the 82 expatriate-friendly cities in the world.
This is according to a survey from global network InterNations for its Expat Insider 2019 study published on 3rd December.
InterNations is a global network and information online platform for expats in 420 cities worldwide.
The survey took into consideration the quality of urban living, getting settled, urban work-life, finance, housing and cost of living.
Abu Dhabi gained an impressive 97% grade in safety and also 87% in terms of ease of living without having to speak the local language.
Other GCC counties that made it to the list were Dubai (34th), Manama, Bahrain (21st), Muscat, Oman (28th) and Kuwait City (82nd).
Asian cities emerged on top with Taipei in Taiwan bagging first place followed by Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Singapore.
Ranking fifth to tenth, respectively, were Montreal in Canada, Lisbon in Portugal, Barcelona in Spain, Zug in Switzerland, The Hague in The Netherlands and Basel also in Switzerland.
