10 ways to take the weekend by storm

We can hardly believe it either, but the weekend is here and we can’t wait to have some fun. 

With live music, cultural performances, pool parties, film screenings and more, there’s plenty on our doorstep to keep us busy over the next few days.

Thursday 28th March

Club Social UAE returns to Yas Island to bring two days of live entertainment, watersports, child-friendly activities, a host of food vendors and two massive concerts including Bastille on Friday and Oka Wi Ortega on Saturday night. Free entry to the festival if you register online, AED 50 on the door, AED 195 for Bastille concert, AED 95 for Oka Wi Ortega. Help raise awareness about plastic pollution in the oceans with the Swim for Clean Seas event. Saturday 30th March

Watch a classic of Japanese cinema as Studio Ghibli’s Grave of the Fireflies is shown on the big screen with the studio’s iconic visual style and moving story about the devastation on World War II. Millions of people around the world will be switching off their lights at 8.30pm tonight to mark Earth Hour. Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort is marking the occasion with a family event in partnership with Emirates Nature WWF.
