9 things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend

The weekend is here and that means more time to spend with family and friends. 

From free dance classes and a Ramadan games night to a ladies sports tournament, mental health awareness event and kids’ cooking class – there’s certainly no shortage of events taking place this weekend.

The family-friendly Ramadan & Eid Festival is back at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre until 5th June. The event showcases gifts, mementos, traditional food and drinks. Ginger Dance and Arts is hosting a Latin dance party with an African twist tonight with social dance sessions, tunes in salsa, bachata, kizomba and Afro animations, plus prizes for those with the best costumes. Basketball tournament

As part of the annual Zayed Sports Tournament, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy is hosting a 3×3 Ladies Basketball Tournament today to encourage women all over the UAE to take part in the sport. darkness into light

Join community group Darkness into Light for an early morning walk in support of mental health awareness. The annual walk kicks off at Emirates Palace from 3.45am where you can join others to walk out of the darkness and into the light as the sun rises.
